The Fiddle Music of Donegal Volume 1
24 Track CD of recordings played By:Martin McGinley, Jimmy Campbell, Michael McMenamin, Mick Brown, Proinnsias Ó Maonaigh, Danny McCarry, Peter Tracey, Paul O’Shaughnessy; along with a comprehensive booklet of information on the performers and tune notes.

During the sultry evenings of July 31st to August 2nd, 1995, fiddlers in their late twenties to late seventies came to the concerts and performed passionate, driving, attacking Donegal fiddle music. They learned their craft in endless hours of playing for house dances and social gatherings, in the company of many of the greatest fiddlers Ireland has ever produced. Their playing was received with warmth and excitement. This recording captures only some of the highlights from that series and allows the listener to experience playing from one of the most vibrant oral fiddle traditions in the world.
